Bruce Gaudette-
Owner Perhaps one of the more unusual company names, LAND HOE! describes my personal career transition, from ship to shore, quite aptly. I graduated from the Coast Guard Academy in 1982 and spent the next four years going to sea in Florida chasing down drug smugglers. In 1986, Robin and I married and received our fateful transfer to Seattle where I worked in search and rescue. We loved Mukilteo and settled in. In 1991, we decided to really settle in when I left active duty Coast Guard life for the Coast Guard Reserve (in which I still serve at the rank of Commander). I then studied for two years at Edmonds Community College's excellent horticulture program. In 1992, LAND HOE! was established as a part-time venture. In 1993, I received an Associates Degree in Landscape Installation from Ed. C.C. The year 1996 marked the start of a second decade living here as well as the company becoming a full-time endeavor. |
